Dimitri Lociks has forged a singular path in Brazilian design, marked by a sensitive approach to territory and a practice that blends creation, curation, and strategy. Born in Brasília, he holds a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Brasília (UnB) and an MBA in Marketing from ESPM. With more than 18 years in the furniture sector as a designer, consultant, professor, and curator, his creations are featured in leading brands such as Breton, América, James, and Doimo, and have received prestigious recognition including the iF Design Award (Gold, 2021) and the International Design Awards (Gold, 2023). He is also co-founder of ADEPRO, former director of ADP Brasil, and co-creator of the PDCIMob methodology for sector competitiveness promoted by Abimóvel and Sebrae Nacional. At the helm of Estúdio Lociks, he creates furniture where aesthetics, function, and narrative intertwine, with works exhibited internationally in New York, Milan, and beyond.

Lociks believes design is more than form — it is a bridge between the intimate and the collective, the past and the present, reason and emotion. For him, objects are storytellers that balance functionality, beauty, and meaning, created with ethical and cultural awareness, local materials, and timeless techniques, aiming to foster enduring emotional connections rather than follow fleeting trends.

Over his career, Lociks has earned multiple honors, including Gold at the iF Design Award (2021) for the Adega Cacho, Gold at the International Design Awards (2023) for the Chaise Aor, Gold at the Muse Design Awards (2022) for the Mar Adentro Table, Gold at the 14th Brazilian Design Award (2024) for the Peri Chair, as well as Silver medals at the A’ Design Award and the Latin America Awards (2022) and numerous Bronze medals at the Brazil Design Awards across categories such as furniture, packaging, and branding (2019–2024).

His work is part of the permanent collection of the Museu de Arte de Brasília, and has been showcased at key design events including the Salone del Mobile.Milano, Fuorisalone in Milan, Casa Brasil NY, and multiple editions of the Museu da Casa Brasileira Design Award exhibitions, among others in Brazil and abroad.
