Zanini de Zanine

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian designer Zanini de Zanine brings a multidisciplinary vision to his work, moving fluidly between different scales — from design objects to large-scale projects. His creations combine direct research into Brazilian culture with raw materials, artisanal techniques, and industrial processes, resulting in pieces that are both contemporary and deeply connected to their origins.

Working in Brazil and internationally, Zanine has collaborated with renowned Italian brands such as Cappellini, Slamp, and Tacchini, among others. His talent has earned him a place on Wallpaper’s list of the “100 Most Important Design Professionals” and a series of prestigious awards, including Designer of the Year Americas (Maison&Objet), New Generation Award (Philadelphia Museum of Art), Good Design Award (USA), iF Design Award (Germany), A Award (Italy), and finalist for the Compasso d’Oro (Italy). In Brazil, he has been recognized by the Museu da Casa Brasileira Award, Casa Vogue Design Award, and as Man of the Year: Design by GQ Brasil.

His works are part of the permanent collections of institutions such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, MUDE – Lisbon Fashion and Design Museum, Thierry Barbier Muller Collection (Switzerland), Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro (MAM), National Historical Museum of Rio, and Museu da Casa Brasileira in São Paulo.
