Sérgio Gomes

With a background that bridges industrial mechanics and interior design, Sérgio Gomes brings a unique blend of technical precision and creative vision to the world of high-end furniture. Graduated in Interior Design from UNICESUMAR (Maringá) and holding a postgraduate degree in Interior Project Design, he also holds a degree in Industrial Mechanics from CTM Senai Maringá—a foundation that deeply shapes his creative process.

Raised in a family of metalworkers, Sérgio incorporates the strength, structure, and technical mastery of metal-mechanics into refined, elegant designs. His career began in Mato Grosso do Sul, where he ran his own interior design studio for five years, delivering bespoke projects that combined aesthetic sensibility with robust construction techniques.

In 2018, Sérgio joined Starmobile Design as production line manager, a pivotal step that allowed him to merge industrial leadership with product creation. His relationship with the company began earlier, in 2016, when Starmobile brought to life his bold university project Mon Chaise—conceived in 2013 and showcased at ABIMAD in 2017, one of Latin America’s most prestigious design fairs.

Today, with over 30 products in production, Sérgio continues to develop pieces that balance structural innovation, material authenticity, and contemporary elegance, making him a distinctive voice in Brazilian furniture design.
