Gerson Hilbert

Gerson Hilbert is a Brazilian product designer and project manager with international experience across Europe, Asia, and South America, specializing in furniture, interior, and yacht design. A multifaceted professional, he seamlessly adapts to diverse markets and cultures, excelling in leading small to medium-sized teams and collaborating with designers and professionals at all organizational levels.

He holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Design from the Politecnico di Milano (Italy), a postgraduate degree in Emotional Design from PUC-PR (Brazil), and a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design from the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina. With over a decade of experience, his work is driven by a human-centered approach to product development.

Gerson spent three years as a designer at Schaefer Yachts in Florianópolis, Brazil, where he was responsible for all interior projects, material selection, and finishes for yachts ranging from 26 to 80 feet. He collaborated with renowned studios such as Pininfarina (Italy) and Bernardes Arquitetura (Brazil). He also worked for four years as Project and Product Coordinator at Intech Boating, representing the Italian luxury yacht brand Sessa Marine. In both shipyards, he managed projects from concept to completion, covering ideation, 3D modeling, rendering, ergonomic studies, CMF (Color, Material, and Finish), and strategic design inputs.

Beyond the marine industry, Gerson has designed office furniture for Flexiv (Brazil), residential furniture and products for Modoloco Design Studio (Italy), high-end kitchens for Würfel Küche (India), and furniture collections for Dovetail Furniture (India). His projects consistently apply strategic design tools and a UX-focused methodology to help companies achieve market differentiation.

His work has been showcased at the Milan Design Week for two consecutive years (2014 with Officine Tamborrino and 2015 with Modoloco Studio and Clique – Smart Matters), the world’s most prestigious design event.

When not designing, Gerson enjoys walking, playing soccer, exploring different cultures, and planning trips with his family.
