SKU:

Emerson Borges is a designer graduated from PUC-PR in 1979 and holds a postgraduate degree in Marketing from Faculdade de Administração e Economia (FAE). He has served as a professor at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná and in the postgraduate Marketing program at FAE. He has also worked as a business consultant through Alvarenga, Borges e Associados (ABA) and as Director of Creation at Trio Comunicação, developing projects for a variety of clients.

His creations have earned significant recognition: the Folio armchair is part of the permanent design collection at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum, while his K and Fly pieces received the Certificado de Boa Forma (Certificate of Good Shape). His Door Elements line was awarded at the Salão de Design/Casa Brasil 2013.

Today, Emerson leads his work through B2D Design, driven by the belief that the spaces we inhabit are reflections of who we are—our dreams, values, and emotions. For him, every object exists for a reason: it may hold a memory, solve a problem, or create a moment. Furniture and objects, in his view, are extensions of our way of living, expressing our personality and vision of life.

To Emerson, the art of design lies in understanding different personal universes and translating them into new products. Every creation carries information, perceptions, and sensations, and his process involves interpreting these through colors, shapes, and textures to craft pieces that resonate with people’s needs and desires. His approach seeks conceptual purity, eliminating excess to achieve timeless designs that allow each person to create their own space.
