Bruno de Ávila

Based in Barcelona, Bruno de Ávila develops furniture and lighting for companies in Brazil and Spain, always seeking a balance between form and function. His creations are timeless and free of excess, designed to integrate naturally into any space.

Post-graduated in Art Direction and Communication, Bruno is also an experienced educator, having taught at the Bachelor’s Degree in Design at FIAMFAAM University in São Paulo from 2012 to 2021.

With over 15 years of multidisciplinary experience, Bruno began his career focusing on lamp design in 2008, shortly after graduating in Product Design. Over the years, he has expanded his work to include furniture, children’s products, decorative objects, and branding. His background spans 3D modeling, interior design, trade fair stands, packaging, and web development, making him a rare designer capable of overseeing every stage of a product’s life cycle — from concept and manufacturing to launch and promotion.

Throughout his career, Bruno has been recognized with multiple design awards. He received the Products Category award at Planeta Casa 2009 and the Socio-Environmental Highlight at Craft Design 2009, both for his Ecopipa Lamp. In 2010, his Mesa Trama Chair won Best Product at Craft Design and was a finalist in Planeta Casa, Objeto Brasileiro, and the Museu da Casa Brasileira. Additionally, his Fruteira Canoa was also a finalist at Planeta Casa 2010.
