Carla Villela

Carla Villela is a seasoned interior designer from Brazil, with a degree in Interior Design from the Escola de Decoração in Rio de Janeiro and advanced studies in Relationship Marketing at FGV. For over 30 years she has worked behind the scenes in the furniture industry, developing products and strategic design concepts that blend creativity with market sensibility.

In 2009, Carla launched Estúdio M7—a name that embodies her experience and deep understanding of the furniture world  . Today, she dedicates herself entirely to design, collaborating with prominent manufacturers to create collections grounded in international trends and tailored to Brazilian sensibilities.

Her design ethos centers on the philosophy that form, detail, and function are essential to creating meaningful products. Carla embraces a fluid and free concept rather than adhering to a fixed style, navigating gracefully between modern and contemporary design. Each piece prioritizes ergonomics, safety, and quality, aiming to form a seamless connection between consumer and product.
