Born in Nuoro, Sardinia in 1967, Italian architect and designer Maurizio Manzoni graduated in Architecture from the University of Florence in 1994. In 1999, he was appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of Florence, teaching Design and Survey and Diagnostics of Fabrics in the Costume and Fashion – Department of Industrial Design. Early in his career, he collaborated with Lancia on the Design Invisible project, creating the concept car “Dialogos.”
Manzoni’s portfolio spans Interior Architecture, Graphic Design, Exhibition Stand Design, Textile Design, and both interior and exterior yacht and motorboat design. He has partnered with some of the world’s most prestigious brands in Italy and abroad, including Natuzzi Italia, Fendi Casa, Mercedes Benz Style, Roche Bobois, Ligne Roset, and many others.
In 2001, he co-founded StudioMEMO in Florence with designer Prof. Roberto Tapinassi, driven by a shared vision to develop innovative solutions for contemporary living through the logic of Italian design—purposeful, research-based, and collaborative. Today, StudioMEMO operates with a multidisciplinary team, engaging in continuous research and fostering an open, constructive dialogue with internal and external collaborators to deliver projects of excellence across multiple design fields.
